We are building aquariums and paludariums in the amphibian pavilion
We are preparing a new home for salamanders, frogs, and other amphibians at Ostrava ZOO. The modern pavilion will also feature special exhibits reminiscent of a miniature tropical rainforest.

The construction of the amphibian pavilion at Ostrava Zoo is in full swing. The VAMOZ CONSTRUCTION team is currently working on steel structures for aquariums and paludariums, installing interior cladding and waterproofing in future substrate areas. The building is also undergoing thermal insulation to prepare it for demanding operation and the breeding of sensitive species.
The new pavilion, worth CZK 22 million, will not only be architecturally interesting. It aims to become a leading center for breeding endangered amphibians. According to the Red Book, more than 40% of amphibians are endangered.
"Our task is to create a reliable and functional facility where every detail will have its significance. Buildings for zoos have their own specific characteristics, and our experience from other projects is being fully utilized here," says Pavel Ambrož, site manager at VAMOZ CONSTRUCTION.
The amphibian pavilion will thus become not only a new attraction for zoo visitors, but above all a specialized facility that will help protect endangered species.
